Each of the nine Place-Based and Cultural Community (PBCC) Partnerships selected through a 2022 open request for proposals (RFP) process have shared ideas and priorities, a shared understanding of their collective work, vision, and set of actions that will focus on the root causes of inequities. With this shared strategy and analysis each partnership will work to implement a collaborative project that supports community power building and contributes to better community health, safe and affordable housing, economic opportunity, and strong community connections.

Fiscal Sponsorship workshop

This workshop focuses on basic fundamentals of what fiscal sponsorship is - including a particular focus on exploring how to best support youth-led groups who are interested in being fiscally sponsored and working with youth-driven projects.This panel included, youth and community leaders who have had successful experiences as a fiscal sponsor and/or as a fiscally sponsored group and what contributed to a healthy relationship.

Equitable Contracting at Communities of Opportunity

To support continuous improvement and learning for equitable contracting work COO sought to document where and how COO has been successful in creating more equitable procurement processes, particularly in the area of contracting, and what gaps continue to exist. The Equitable Contracting Report here, summarized a review of King County COO Community Service Agreements and Consultant Contract processes, best practices from the field, and themes from key informant interviews with COO community partners.

Native Neighborhood Survey

Share your thoughts for a Native Neighborhood! The Indigenous Seattle Working Group and Na'ah Illahee Fund have been collaborating on a community survey that is made by and for Native and Indigenous Peoples who live, work, visit, or get services in Seattle. This survey is the first step toward building a Native Neighborhood that can be anything from a single building to multiple blocks.
