Nonprofit Risk Management training
Date & Time: Wednesday, April 29, 10am-12pm, followed by lunch 12-1pm
Location: in-person, King County Chinook Building, 401 5th Ave, Seattle -- Room #121
Public transit: This King County Metro trip planner can help you find the best route to the Chinook Building. Pioneer Square Station is the nearest light rail station, which is approximately a 7-8 minute (uphill) walk from the building.
Parking: Goat Hill Garage is the closest parking garage, located one block away from the Chinook Building, and the only one we have parking passes available for.
Description: Nonprofits and social impact organizations are operating in one of the most complex risk environments we’ve seen in years – one where regulatory scrutiny, political pressure, and economic volatility directly impact funding strategies and mission-driven work. Now more than ever, organizations need a strong, flexible, and proactive approach to risk management.
This interactive workshop with Slalom Consulting will introduce participants to a risk management framework, how to adopt the framework for your organization, and reduce the likelihood or impact of a risk. Participants will receive templates and tools to continue this work on their own as well as an opportunity for a post-training coaching call to support the implementation of learnings and tools.
Lunch to be provided to registered attendees.
Note: Organizational staff & board members with strategic decision-making and leadership roles will benefit most from attending this training. A second training will be offered in the Fall/Winter, provided online/remote.
Please only register if you can confirm attendance! Registration will close 5pm on Monday, April 27th.
