2023-25 Award - Systems & Policy Change - $125,000/year

In 2023-2025, Fair Work Center (FWC) sought to build organizing power among food service industry workers to ensure employers follow existing local and state policies and workplace protections. FWC expanded and solidified its existing restaurant worker committee, coordinated strategic participatory industry mapping, provided legal support for workers, led advocacy efforts in collaboration with Labor and Industries and other relevant agencies, collaborated with elected officials and shaped public narrative to establish workers as central protagonists in their industry.
