Funding Opportunity: Evaluation Mini-Grants

For Formerly Funded COO Partners

in the Community Partnerships and Systems & Policy Change Strategies

We’re pleased to offer this new funding opportunity. These mini grants are to support formerly funded COO Community Partnership and Systems & Policy Change partners to evaluate the ripple effects, or longer-term results and impacts, of the work they did through COO. These grants aim to support short-term, discrete evaluation projects that contribute to understanding the longer-term outcomes and impacts of COO-funded efforts.

Amount of Funding Available: Up to $9,999 each

Eligibility: Formerly funded COO Community Partnerships and Systems & Policy Change partners from COO 1.0 and/or 2.0

What to Submit:

The proposal must be submitted in one email and include all required documents and information. We will not be able to accept multiple emails for the same proposal.

Send completed email — including proposal and any relevant attachments — by the application deadline to cpres-BSK@kingcounty.gov.

Applicants must submit a proposal (minimum 2 pages) addressing:

  • Description of the proposed evaluation project, including evaluation deliverables, timeline/workplan and budget

  • Connection to COO goals and strategies

  • Organizational capacity and staff lead for the evaluation project

Timelines:

  • Information Session: Wednesday, July 15, 3:30-4:30 p.m. - see the login information below. We will post the recording after the session.

  • Last day to request Technical Assistance: Monday, August 3, 2027

  • Applications Due: Monday, August 10, 2:00 p.m.

  • Notification of Awards: Monday, August 17

  • Tentative Contract Start Date: November 1, 2026 (start date contingent on contracting processes and King County Council approval)

  • Contract End Date: June 30 to September 30, 2027 (end date dependent on proposed duration of evaluation project and contract start date)

Technical Assistance Is Available

Application assistance (also known as technical assistance, or TA) is available to support organizations in applying to this RFA. The main purpose of this TA is to eliminate linguistic, cultural, and other barriers that might prevent organizations from seeking government funding. Application assistance is free of charge.
