Cooperative & Community Ownership Models – a 2026 COO Learning Series
Join the COO Learning Community and Seattle Co-Operators Meetup group as we hear from Shevanthi Daniel, the Deputy Director at the Democracy at Work Institute (DAWI), a sister organization to the U.S. Federation of Worker Cooperatives. Shevanthi will share:
About the Federation and DAWI - what they do and how they work together
Highlights and stories from recent research, policy changes, and models from the national co-op ecosystem
What attendees can anticipate at this year’s upcoming USFWC Conference and the benefits of attending.
We will also hear from guest speaker Spencer, who will talk about his experience attending last year’s Worker Co-op Conference as a first-time attendee and his experience meeting other worker co-operators.
Finally, attendees will hear briefly about the opportunity to apply for a COO Learning Community scholarship to attend the upcoming 2026 USFWC Worker Co-op Conference, this September 25-26 in Boston, MA. COO will run a scholarship to send 3-5 folks to the conference. The conference is hosted by the U.S Federation of Worker Cooperatives and is a great opportunity to learn from and connect with others building, working in and moving forward the cooperative ecosystem in the U.S. and internationally.
