The White Center Teen Program (WCTP) is preparing to host a high-energy dual event on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Steve Cox Memorial Park. The event will feature the annual Peace N The Hood (PNTH) Job Fair running alongside a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, creating a unique environment where local youth can pursue career opportunities and community recreation simultaneously.
The PNTH Job Fair is a cornerstone of the WCTP’s career development efforts, designed to connect local youth with summer jobs and internships. The program has a significant impact on the community; to date, over 500 teens have secured their first job through this annual event. This year’s fair is hosted in collaboration with Southwest Youth and Family Services (SWYFS), the YWCA, and the WorkForce Development Council.
Beyond employment, the event emphasizes the WCTP’s mission to provide free fitness and sports programs, leadership training, and a safe space for youth ages 12 to 19 at the "Log Cabin". The program's goals focus on helping teens develop skills for their future goals while supporting the entire White Center community.
