Advocacy Day for the Systems-Impacted Community
From the organizer, Civil Survival:
Washington’s criminal legal system impacts the lives of tens of thousands of us every year, with 98,000 people booked into jails and an incarceration rate of 373 per 100,000–a rate higher than nearly every other democratic nation. These numbers represent real lives, real families, and real people ready for change.
On February 9th, join community impacted by the system for a day of learning, action, and collective power. This is an opportunity to learn about the legislative process, understand the bills that impact our communities, hear from powerful guest speakers, and make sure lawmakers hear directly from you.
