From the organizers, Look 2 Justice:
September 13th, join us for a night of story telling as we share first hand experiences from survivors of solitary confinement at Town Hall in Seattle, Washington. Register here: https://journeytojusticeseattle.eventbrite.com
Right now, hundreds of thousands of people, including children, are being tortured in U.S. prisons, jails, and detention centers through solitary confinement. As its use – deemed torture by the United Nations – skyrockets, we’re growing our movement of changemakers to end solitary in all carceral facilities nationwide.
This fall, we’re bringing the fight to you with the Journey to Justice bus tour –blending artivism, public education, and immersive experiences to fuel this crucial movement.
Step inside our skoolie (a repurposed school bus) designed as an interactive advocacy hub featuring a mobile library, immersive exhibits, and a life-sized solitary cell.
Dive into the dialogue sparked by the forthcoming book, Ending Isolation (written by directly impacted people and experts) and join engaging events nearby—from film screenings and theater performances by survivors to movement mixer concerts, human libraries, and vital panel discussions, all led by people directly impacted by the torture of solitary.
