This workshop is designed to help staff feel more confident, informed, and safe when using technology at work and at home. The training will break down common threats, share simple and useful tips to protect your devices and information, and help you talk about cybersecurity without needing a tech background. Whether you’re new to cybersecurity or already familiar with the basics, this session will support you in building stronger habits, avoiding common mistakes, and helping others keep our work and families secure.
About the Instructors:
This workshop will be led by Dr. Shaun Glaze (they/them) of Inclusive Data, a Best Starts capacity builder. Inclusive Data is committed to bridging the gap between technology and practical application. Inclusive Data seeks to demystify cybersecurity and provide actionable insights for real-world impact. Dr. Glaze is the architect of Connect Across Tacoma, a community-driven workforce development program that prepares people from underserved communities for careers in cybersecurity, broadband, and tech leadership. Their work blends technical training, mentorship, and real-world experience to create meaningful pathways into the tech workforce. Dr. Glaze holds a Ph.D., and a Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) certification from ISC².
