Chamber Briefing: City of Seattle Comprehensive Plan

Join the Seattle Metro Chamber and the Complete Communities Coalition for a discussion on how our city will grow. This year, City leaders spent months updating the Seattle Comprehensive Plan, the zoning element of which determines what type of housing can be built and where. This is our city’s chance to make communities more diverse, vibrant, and accessible, and councilmembers and Mayor Bruce Harrell have taken the initiative, using creative techniques to allow for more homes and businesses in all neighborhoods of our city.

The final vote the first legislative phase will take place on December 16 in Seattle City Council. Learn what’s on the docket, how it might impact you, and how to engage. Plus—the process is far from over, and council will take up further zoning legislation in 2026. Hear about what’s next and how you can engage. Register today!

Speakers include:

  • Jazmine Smith, Director of Local Advocacy, Futurewise

  • Jesse Simpson, Director of Government Relations and Policy, Housing Development Consortium

  • Tyler Pichette, Senior Associate, Pacific Public Affairs
