What funding is available?
Commerce is releasing funding opportunities for affordable multifamily housing operators and developers to preserve affordability in properties currently serving Washington communities. MHU has elected to offer up to $24,100,000 of the appropriated funds to projects already in the Housing Trust Fund portfolio (executed contract) and in need of funding to extend its useful life via this NOFA.

Local housing authorities
Nonprofit community or neighborhood-based organizations
Federally recognized Indian tribes in the state of Washington
Regional or statewide nonprofit housing assistance organizations
Housing Preservation funding is available to current Housing Trust Fund contractors that want to make major building improvements, preserve existing units, and replace systems to maintain long-term property viability.
