Request for Qualifications: Lake City Community Center Redevelopment

Responses due by Friday, May 24, 5 p.m.

The Seattle Office of Housing, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR), invites developers to submit proposals for the redevelopment of the Lake City Community Center. This redevelopment presents a unique opportunity to co-locate a new community center with affordable housing in an area with frequent transit, realizing multiple public benefits. The property is located at 12531 28th Avenue N.E.

Following a fire in 2023, the Community Center closed, and efforts have been underway by the community and Seattle Parks and Recreation to plan for a new, larger center, with an added focus on creating affordable housing.

This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is part of a two-step process with a Request for Proposals (RFP). The RFQ will prequalify a selection of developers to advance to the RFP stage. Developers interested in submitting a proposal for the LCCC redevelopment must participate in the RFQ.
