  • Join: A Best Starts for Kids Community Conversation! Last fall, Best Starts (and COO) partnered with communities across KC to host community conversations. We heard what you felt went well during the first 5 years of Best Starts and what needed improvement. We keep coming back to ensure that we are doing what the community has asked of us. We hope you can join us and our partner organizations at an upcoming community conversation! We look forward to hearing from you as we continue to build on our shared vision for King County babies, youth, and families.

    • Wednesday, June 16 from 4-5:30pm. Hosted by Youth Development Executives of King County (YDEKC) with a focus on young people and organizations that serve youth and young people. RSVP here.

    • Thursday, June 17 from 1-2:30 pm. Hosted by LGBTQ Allyship, POCAAN, and Lambert House with a focus on LGBTQ community organizations in King County. RSVP here.

    • Friday, June 18 from 11 am -12:30 pm. Hosted by Auburn Family Providers and community-based organizations in Auburn, Enumclaw, and Black Diamond. RSVP here.

    • Monday, June 21 from 10-11:30 am. Hosted by Eastside Pathways with a focus on Eastside King County including Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland, and Bothell communities. RSVP here.

    • Tuesday, June 22 from 4-5:30 pm. Hosted by Southwest Youth & Family Service (SWY&FS) and City of Burien with a focus on Highline, Burien, White Center, SeaTac and West Seattle communities in King County. RSVP here.

  • Join: Rainier Beach Action Coalition (RBAC) and others at the the Be’er Sheva Mural Installation & Celebration on June 26th from 1-4pm. In addition to the big reveal of the mural, there will also be food, music, & live performances!

  • Join: Community at the Rainier Beach Farm Stand grand re-opening on June 19th, 2021 from 10am-2pm (or whenever produce runs out). This year the Farm Stand will be held at RBAC@MLK, and because of the pandemic and ongoing food insecurity in Rainier Beach the produce will be free again this year. The stand is run by RBAC's Food Justice Fellows, who have been working hard to get everything ready for this season!

    • Global to Local is hiring a Communications Manager responsible for planning and executing a wide range of communications activities and initiatives. Working closely with the Executive Director and program staff, the Communications Manager develops and manages communications plans, creates compelling content for print and digital media, manages our websites and social media accounts, and offers trainings to boost the communications capacity of our staff an Incubator program participants.     • FEEST is searching for an experienced Communications & Development Manager to join their team. The goal of this position is to tell FEEST’s story in a way that inspires others to join our movement for health justice in schools. This person will utilize traditional and digital media channels to cultivate a strong multigenerational base of supporters, volunteers, donors, community partners, and activists for the organization. The position will work closely with both the Development Director and Organizing Director.

    • Public Health-Seattle & King County is hiring a COVID 19 Schools & Child Care Task Force Lead - Project/Program Manager IV and a Community Mitigation and Recovery Team (CMR) Administrator
